Poor equipment is a clear sign of an amateur DJ and is something no one booking a professional service should have to worry about. Unfortunately, when planning an event, it’s essential to vet your vendor’s professionalism in advance— because a DJ is only as good as their gear.
Even the most skilled DJ can’t compensate for subpar equipment. Crackling speakers and a cluttered, unsightly setup will overshadow flawless music transitions. Guests won’t remember the mixes — they’ll remember how the sound hurt their ears and the equipment detracted from the atmosphere.
At Slipbeats, we use only state-of-the-art equipment, ensuring exceptional sound quality and a clean, professional presentation. No tangled wires, no faulty speakers — just seamless entertainment you can trust.
We gladly accept song requests and often incorporate many of them into the event. However, we carefully filter these requests to ensure they align with your preferences. If a guest requests a song or genre you’ve marked as a “Do Not Play,” rest assured it won’t make the playlist. Conversely, if a request fits the vibe and complements your selected music choices, I may choose to play it.
Remember, I am an experienced professional who knows how to energize the dance floor and avoid tracks that might clear it. Unlike DJs who rely on pre-made sets, I will adapt in real-time, responding to the crowd’s energy to keep the celebration lively.
To make planning seamless, we also offer an online system where you can specify your music preferences and must-play songs ahead of time. This ensures everything reflects your vision, with no surprises on the big day.
Our online planning system allows you to select songs you’d like to hear at your event, as well as those you’d prefer to avoid.
Login information for the system will be provided in the email accompanying your contract.
The number of songs you request is entirely up to you, but we recommend providing your DJ with at least 10–15 tracks that represent different genres and artists you enjoy. Sharing a few songs or artists you’d rather not hear is also helpful.
If you submit a lengthy playlist, keep in mind the time constraints of your event.
During your initial consultation, I will discuss your music preferences to ensure everything aligns perfectly with your vision.
