My name is Roy Servis, and I’ve been a mobile DJ for over 30 years, beginning my journey in 1987.
I started by playing in various pubs, bars, and private functions, often with a packed schedule: bookings on Thursdays or Fridays, private parties on Saturdays, and a regular Sunday evening slot at a wine bar.

Every other Saturday morning, I also hosted a two-hour hospital radio show at the Middlesex Hospital in central London, playing mostly 80s soul and funk — genres close to my heart.
​
I still vividly remember the early days, hauling eight crates of records up and down stairs at weddings to ensure I had every request covered. It took two people to carry the DJ coffin, which housed my two Technics SL1200 turntables and a Vestax mixer. Looking back, it’s ironic we called ourselves "mobile"!
Today, my setup is a world apart—streamlined, lightweight, and far more advanced. It’s brighter, more powerful, and delivers crystal-clear sound with an extensive library of music to choose from, ensuring I can cater to any event seamlessly.

With no team to manage or pre-set playlists to rely on, I have the flexibility to go above and beyond, tailoring every event to my client’s unique preferences. My focus is on delivering exceptional results that exceed expectations, ensuring all my clients feel they’ve received outstanding value.

To provide peace of mind, my business carries full public liability insurance up to £10 million through the Mobile DJ Network. I also offer access to my method statement and risk assessments, ensuring transparency and preparedness for any situation.
